About the Studio

West Oakland Yoga Studio is dedicated to providing people with an opportunity to practice and experience the benefits of yoga in an environment that encourages a sense of well-being. We have created this studio with the intention of giving the community a space where health, transformation, and a peaceful attitude can be cultivated.

Please come and enjoy the practice in this full-of-light, newley remolded space that is truly a collaboration of residents of West Oakland whom I met and became friends with upon my stay in this neighborhood. Without their support this project would have been almost impossible. Thank you to all of you for your friendship and hard work.

Acknowledgements

I want to express my endless respect and gratitude to my dear parents - my first teachers. My father, the best man I have ever known, and my mother, a very strong woman, for their lifelong support and unconditional love.

Located at 1725 Peralta St. @ 18th Street, the studio can be accessed by BART, bus, car, bicycle or (if you close) foot. If arriving by car, parking can be found on the street but please read the curb-side parking signs carefully.
